Britney Spears’ multimillion-dollar fortune will become her fortune when she and husband Sam Asgari divorce, TMZ reports.

The newlyweds signed an “iron-coated” prenuptial agreement on June 13 that’s in Spears’ best interest and protects any earnings she made before the wedding, sources close to Spears told TMZ. People confirmed the news. The insider could not independently verify the terms of the marriage contract.

Spears and Asghari announced their engagement on September 12. Shortly after the announcements, Asghari posted an Instagram story in which she joked about getting a pre-appointment with Spears: “Thanks to everyone who is concerned about the pre-event! Of course we get a strict marriage contract We must protect my collection of jeeps and shoes in case she abandons me someday (We see). “

Spears’ net worth is $60 million, Forbes reported in 2021. A draft was in the works the day after the couple’s engagement was announced. Sources close to Spears previously told TMZ.

Matthew Rosengart, the attorney who helped Spears end his 13-year guardianship with her father on November 12, had previously been rumored to be involved in the marriage. Rosengart did not immediately respond to an Insider’s request for comment.

Spears, 40, and Asghari, 28, have been together for nearly six years. The couple married on June 9 at Spears’ Los Angeles home. Guests at the wedding included Madonna, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton and BBC’s Drew Barrymore.

Hours before the wedding, Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander — whom she was married to for 55 hours in 2004 — broadcast the “shattered” venue. Citing court documents and an email statement from Rosengart, Tyler Simon Mitchell and Azmi Aaron of Insider reported that Alexander has since been charged with stalking, misdemeanour, vandalism and trespassing. Court documents showed Alexander pleaded not guilty to all charges, and is being held on $100,000 bail. Spears and Asghari obtained a restraining order against Alexander.

Spears and Asghari did not immediately respond to insider requests for comment.
