2022 – Jeff Gladney: An Arizona Cardinals cornerman dies in a car crash at the age of 25

Jeff Gladney played for the Minnesota Vikings before joining the Arizona Cardinals in March of this year

Jeff Gladney died of the Arizona Cardinals in a car accident at the age of 25.

Arizona Gladney, who previously played for the Minnesota Vikings, signed a two-year deal while on vacation.

“We are shocked to learn of Jeff Gladney’s death,” the Cardinals said in a statement.

“Our thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone who mourns this terrible loss.”

After playing college football in the TCU, Gladney was selected by the Vikings as the 31st selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.

He played in 16 matches and participated in 15 matches before being released in August 2021 after charges of assault in a domestic violence case.

After sitting out the 2021 season, Gladney was found not guilty in March 2022 and was signed with the Cardinal shortly thereafter.

A statement from the Vikings said: “We are saddened by the tragic death of former Vikings Jeff Gladney. Our hearts are with his family and friends, the Arizona Cardinals organization and Jeff’s current and former colleagues and coaches who mourned his loss so soon.”

Philadelphia Eagles player Galen Rigor, who played my TCU executioner, also paid tribute on Twitter, saying, “I lost my brother, my best friend, my right hand.”

Defensive End Cardinals JJ Watt said: “Disappointing news to hear this morning. Simply tragic. Rest in peace Jeff.”
