According to Jeremy Bailey of The Wraps and Brandon Katz, Camille Vasquez texted in her closing arguments Friday. Heard’s legal team provided text messages by Depp, who used derogatory terms to describe Heard, during the six-week trial in Fairfax County Court.

“Miss. Vasquez said, Heard showed you several text messages from Mr. Depp in very animated language.” “As I told you at the beginning of this process, Mr. Depp has a unique writing style. He uses words that I don’t, and you probably don’t, either.”

She continued, “But as you also heard during this trial, Mr. Depp writes this way in part because he borrowed his writing from such literary giants as Hunter S. Thompson.”

At the time, Depp’s lawyers said the comment “hangs on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a victim of domestic violence and that Mr. Depp committed domestic violence against her.”
