Liverpool (4-3-3)

Alson Becker I had no chance of stopping the crucial goal. An unconvincing moment for Benzema’s goal went unpunished, but in fact it was rarely asked otherwise. 6

Trent Alexander Arnold The error proved to be very costly. He made a good game both creatively and defensively, but Vinicius lost in the 59th minute and was severely punished. 6

Ibrahima Konat The Paris-born defender’s speed was a factor that put him ahead of Joel Matip and justified his decision. Vinícius dominated one-on-one but was fortunate to review VAR. VIII

Virgil van Dijk It seems strange when thinking about defeat, but the central defense was not worried. He had time to fend off threats as Real sat deep. 7

Andy Robertson He made several key interceptions in the first half but couldn’t show his usual offensive swing. Standard delivery was also handled without any issues. 7

Jordan Henderson tirelessly in his quest to join Emlin Hughes as captain of the two-time Liverpool Cup. He found loopholes to expand Real’s midfield and pushed them relentlessly before backing away. 7

Fabinho He did not play for 18 days before qualifying for the final due to a hamstring injury but it did not show. Excellent positioning thwarted a large number of real raids. 7

Thiago Alcantara He played well because he had an Achilles problem on Sunday – and prepared for the heat on his own before kick-off – but not at his best. 6

Mohamed Salah Vengeance was on his mind, but a new doom came in the form of the unbeatable Courtois. I carried the threat of Liverpool but the ninth goal of the season was above him. 7

Sadio Mane Apparently he was not distracted by talk of his future as his wandering and dangerous display upset Real Madrid in the first half. Courtois pressed relentlessly but faded in the second half. 7

Luis Diaz The first Colombian to reach the Champions League final got off to a good start and his battle against Carvajal was exciting. Surprise when he was replaced early. 7

Substitute: Diogo Jota One Diaz almost justified the move with a tie. 7; the prophet kiIt He made an important defensive save but failed to improve the attack. 6; Roberto Fermin Thiago was replaced when Klopp went bankrupt but his elegant touches had no effect. 6

Real Madrid (4-3-3)

Thibaut Courtois Fabulous. She covered Liverpool’s early threat with a superb save from Salah and Mane and it only improved. Salah denied five times. Constant pressure with approvals but they are handled well. 10

Daniel Carvajal Annoyed with Diaz and never resting for a second, he did everything in his power to do justice to the stubborn right-back as he secured his fifth title. VIII

Eder Militao Not likable on the ball despite having multiple red shirts on his way. When he ventured forward, Ancelotti brought him back to his post. VIII

David Alaba Not as dominant in the air or as smart at possession as Militao. However, his power in the intervention and his awareness in the lead showed when Liverpool pressed for an equaliser. 7

Ferland Mindy The former Paris Saint-Germain academy producer was impressed by his duels with Salah. Publishing it for the first time out of defense was a risk. 7

Luke Modric He doesn’t play the usual way, but he still exudes class. It was the veterans sliding rule that led to his breakthrough and the fifth winner’s medal. VIII

Casemiro He made more unintended mistakes than the midfield elders. As an effective shield, however, he was once again a formidable obstacle for Liverpool. 7

Toni Kroos The 32-year-old not only set the pace for Real, at times slowing down the entire match to his own pace. However, his accuracy was not enhanced by a fatal pass. VIII

Federico Valverde Clean control and attack intent brought reality back to life as an offensive threat. The goal cross provided him. 6

Karim Benzema A lengthy judicial review of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology denied the Real Madrid player the first goal and his 16th goal of the season. Dynamic on the ball but missed a great opportunity to release Vinicius. 7

Vinicius Jr In front of Alexander-Arnold and Konate, who gave him a number until he found space in the penalty area for the first time, the quick exit was not a joy. And that it was. 7

alternative: Edward Camavinga He won some important challenges. 6; Daniel Ceballos It’s too late for Modric. Unavailable; Rodrigo Match-winner Vinicius was replaced as Real Madrid’s clock approached Unavailable.
