BLolita Chakrabarti, 52, was born in Hull and studied at Radha. Her television roles include My Mad Fat Diary, A Casual Vacancy, Riviera, Showtrial, and Vigil. In 2019, their adaptation of Life of Pi opened at the Sheffield Crucible. That year, the show won five Olivier Awards, including Best New Play; It is being shown at the Wyndham Theatre, London. Chakrabarti has two daughters with actor Adrian Lester. They live in London.

to my mother; I wish I had known her better before she passed away in 2016.
What is the worst thing anyone has? Told you
“Then shit – you’ll never be so lucky.” Needless to say, I don’t see her anymore. That was six years ago.
Do you choose fame or anonymity?
A little of both.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Adrian. When I was 13, I was revising a play for drama class in school and Adrian was there. He was 14 years old. We met during my first term at Rada. It’s been over a year.

Standing on stage and not knowing my lines.
What is your biggest disappointment?
That first track, Red Velvet, took many years to complete. It took seven years to write and then five years to get on stage.

Don `t give up.
What is your closest exposure to the law?
I was caught stealing shaky cash at school when I was seven, and the resulting humiliation has made me incredibly candid ever since.
