2022 – T-Mobile service is completely disabled for many East Coast users

T-Mobile has been in the news more than usual for the past few days, both For good reasons bad (and then Good again), but while some people think there’s no such thing as bad publicity, the “non-carrier” certainly won’t like the attention it’s currently generating on the Internet.

The number of reports on the last site running Ookla alone rose to the thousands at 1:00 PM ET, and while the curve initially saw a positive downward trend, another small rally occurred after 2:00 PM.

Although not nearly that big After the famous outage of cellular service nearly two years ago, this disruption to cellular service is still going down (pun intended) at the time of writing in places like New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, and Washington (to name a few).

As usual, users’ complaints are not all the same, but they affect the vast majority T-Mobile customers, voice calls and texts aren’t currently working (at all) and the mobile internet service is choppy at best. Some people can’t get a signal to save their lives, and others say apps that require an internet connection won’t run even though their phone is showing a signal.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on any developments over the next few hours, so if you’re affected by this outage and are at least able to use Wi-Fi, be sure to keep an eye on this space for updates…as they come in.
